The best Christmas trees are those that reflect their owners – something Jon Bon Jovi has embraced in his holiday decorating since 2022. 'I made it onto the tree this year,' the singer shared alongside a photo of a carved, wooden 'Jon' ornament and a matching 'Jesse' design for his son, Jesse Bongiovi.
Bon Jovi's Christmas tree offers a masterclass in holiday traditionalism, combining a red, white, and gold palette with ornaments featuring his family's names. While classic color schemes always create a festive winter atmosphere, personal details give a tree genuine character.
They turn standard Christmas decor ideas into something distinct, making them a standout feature when visiting friends and family during the festive period.
For those looking to adopt this style for Christmas 2026, these personalized wooden ornaments (from Amazon) are the perfect starting point. They closely mirror the design on Bon Jovi's tree and serve as thoughtful, custom gifts for the holiday season.

I love the vintage feel of this gold scalloped frame. Add a favorite photo for a personal touch that feels just as special on the tree as it will years from now.
These personalized name tags are a sweet way to make your Christmas tree feel more personal. Choose different names, colors, and fonts to suit your decorations, then bring them out again each December.
Glitter Christmas Tree Ornament Set
For a tree that catches the light from every angle, these glitter ornaments are an easy addition. They have that festive shimmer without the usual glittery mess, and the shatterproof finish means you can enjoy them for Christmases to come.
A hand-painted monogram feels so much more personal than a standard ornament. This one has a timeless look that makes it easy to mix with your favorite decorations, especially classic tones as seen on Bon Jovi's tree,
I love the idea of filling the tree with little reminders of the people and moments that make Christmas special. This braided brass frame has a lovely vintage feel, with space for a favorite photo that makes it all the more meaningful.
Alongside customizable pieces, vintage styling is also returning to living rooms for winter 2026. Claudia Kampmann, the Europe Brand Manager at Ruggable, notes a growing interest in nostalgic, handmade ornaments that prioritize personal stories over rigid, uniform perfection:
'Old-school, traditional Christmas decorations were the embodiment of festive cheer. Think less chic and more sentimental and nostalgic. Over the past decade or so, many people have been making their Christmas trees more uniform, leaning more into decorations that match their decor, which can feel predictable,' Claudia says.
'This year, people are looking back to their childhoods for decoration inspiration, and I expect we’re going to see a resurgence of clashing primary colors, including gold, reds and greens, alongside flashing lights, handmade decorations and nutcrackers.'
