Anyone who says beige is boring just doesn't know how to decorate with it. When carefully layered with natural textures, metals, and finishes, the warm neutral can be the richest and most interesting option for your home.
Take, for example, Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo's Pacific Palisades kitchen. Designed by the acclaimed Clements Design team, their beige cabinets feel luxurious and grounding, paired with gray marble and a black matte La Cornue oven. From the stainless steel coffee machine (like this Ninja Express from Amazon) to the matte filler tap, every detail feels carefully considered.
With this new textural rulebook, decorating with beige has never looked so interesting.
Furthermore, in 2027, Adam and Behati's elevated combination of light beige wood and veined marble is emerging as a major interior design trend. 'Natural materials and textures have never fallen out of favour but are proving especially popular this year,' states design expert Shelley Cochrane.
She continues: 'Light wood, in particular, brings a serene and tranquil quality as it evokes the natural world whilst feeling approachable and airy. The natural grain of wood also adds eye-catching and distinctive charm to a dining space or kitchen.'
A few well-placed textures instantly make a beige scheme feel rich and inviting. If you're not ready for a full remodel, here are some kitchen accessories to begin to bring Adam and Behati's neutral kitchen idea into your home.

Storing spoons and spatulas doesn't have to be boring. This gorgeous marble vessel brings in a touch of the storied materials in the perfect size for functionality.

Tondo Acacia Round Serving Board
If you don't have time to redo your cabinets with light wood, this wooden serving board has a similar feel to Adam and Behati's, adding warmth and texture when leaned against the backsplash or propped up on the counter.
The airy shade of Adam and Behati's kitchen cabinets is also an excellent choice for anyone with a bijou kitchen. Design expert Georgia Metcalfe explains: 'Lighter woods and finishes are generally better for smaller spaces as they feel less imposing, especially when it comes to larger pieces of furniture like beds and wardrobes. Lighter colours will also reflect the light and help to keep your room feeling bright and airy.'

In addition to their use of natural materials to add grain and interest to a classic beige color scheme, Adam and Behati elevate the look with by color blocking with their oven. Their all black matte La Cornue range instantly draws the eye, with the silver hardware creating bright pops. This method is growing increasingly popular for 2027.
'Color blocking is all about putting bold blocks of colour together to create contrast and interest in a space,' says Graham Duke, design expert at Everhot. She continues: 'Think complementary shades that sit opposite each other on the color wheel, or deeper hues used in specific areas rather than everything blending into one palette.'
Rather than introducing novel elements, this room color idea is easily accomplished with the essentials, as we see in Adam and Behati's space. Graham advises: 'In the kitchen, the cooker can do much of the work. For example, a vibrant Aqua cooker can act as a focal point against a more neutral kitchen, drawing the eye and adding a point of interest. Rather than overhauling a kitchen entirely, invest in a statement cooker, made with British craftsmanship and traditional design, to introduce character and a sense of personal flair.'
Beige never needs to be boring again. With this natural, color blocked treatment, this shade is carrying into the most beautiful homes of 2027.
