The best Thanksgiving decor extends long beyond the day itself. With elegant touches and personality-ful pieces, the festivities can even start now.
Take, for instance, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas's gorgeous Thanksgiving table decor idea. Shared by Catherine on Instagram, the look features an orange foliage and pumpkin-covered centerpiece running down the length of their dining table. The festivity extends to the nearby fireplace, where leafy garland and a wreath hang on the mantle. Catherine and Micheal's look is celebratory, but understated enough to stay up for all of autumn.
It offers insight into the kind of stylish Thanksgiving decor designers are recommending for this year. Whether or not orange foliage is your thing, it shows that nature-led design can transform your dining room for any season.
As Michael and Catherine's table demonstrates, a good centerpiece is the best place to start with elevating your seasonal decor. Neha Gupta, interior designer and founder of Seattle-based NU Curations states: 'To make your table more appealing this holiday season, add a decorative arrangement of seasonal flowers, pumpkins, and other foliage.'
She recommends: 'Make the centerpiece low enough so guests can see each other. Use the colors in your centerpiece to coordinate the napkins and place settings.'

Fall Color Bud Vases, Set of 3
Fall decor doesn't have to be orange. These pretty vases are perfect for bringing a stylish alternative vibe to your holiday tablescape.
Natural materials are great inspiration for centerpieces. You can opt to follow Catherine and Michael's example with faux foliage, or go more natural with a living centerpiece. 'One bouquet of flowers can go a long way on your table,' advise design experts at Krylon. 'Break it up into several small bud vases to cover the length of your surface. If you don’t already have them, you can easily find some secondhand and personalize them in seasonal colors that are complementary with your other décor.'

As Catherine and Michael's garland demonstrates, how you decorate around the centerpiece is just as important as the middle of the table itself. Bringing in lots of texture is designers' favorite method.
'There are a few elements you can add to the table to further improve the design,' explains Neha. 'Linens and clothes can add a layer of refinement to your design.'
She continues: 'For fall and Thanksgiving, I like to utilize colors such as deep burgundy and rust to maintain a design that is harmonious and in tune with the season. You can use these colors to design your napkins as well. Folding and tucking the edge of a napkin with a ribbon or rosemary can also add a nice touch to your design.'
This season, think outside the box with your Thanksgiving decor to create something truly style-led and unforgettable.
