About a year ago, Ruggable and Anthropologie released their first collection together – an artful assortment of rugs and doormats designed to set the scene for everyday life. Now, the brands are back for a second drop, and this time, it's even more eclectic, expressive, and inspired than before.
'We wanted to build on the success of our first collaboration with Anthropologie while moving in a direction that felt even richer, more layered, and more intentional,' Maria O’Brien, Ruggable's VP of Global Design, tells me. Think deeper colorways, heritage-inspired patterns, and an underlying hint of contemporary flair – that's just what defines the pieces from Ruggable and Anthropologie's newly released range.
In a way, this collection is the answer to the growing trend for refreshing home decor that balances timelessness and individuality. Each piece – from the rugs and doormats to the exciting new addition of pet beds – carries a sense of distinct personality and heritage-inspired charm, all while feeling fit for modern life.

According to Maria, 'the inspiration for the second collection was a nostalgic yet modern blend of folk, heritage, and Art Nouveau influences, bringing together ornate details, storied patterns, and a sense of craftsmanship in a way that still feels fresh and relevant for today’s home.' Pieces like the Wendel Rug speak to this, with its refreshing pattern mix of heritage florals and contemporary stripes.
It's these vibrant motifs that do the heavy lifting – making the collection come to life with personality. You'll find everything from charming plaids (the Adrienne Rug nails the look) and pastoral scenes (I could get lost in the Elm Rug's landscape) to geometrically deconstructed flowers (the Dorian Rug showcases traditional Oushak patterns).
'We loved the idea of taking these enduring themes and reimagining them in a way that feels fresh and playful for the modern home,' Maria remarks.

The collection's color palette feels true to Anthropologie's brand identity – it's grounded, yet vibrant; inviting, yet refreshingly unexpected. You'll find everything from olive greens and true blues to shades of mauve, warm neutrals, and burgundy accents. Maria tells me that these colors were inspired by a desire to bring depth into the home.

'These shades felt especially right for the collection because they feel grounded in tradition while still bringing a fresh point of view,' Maria continues. Plus, they're just perfect for fall – like a contemporary remix of the traditional fall color palette we know and love.
All together, the color choices, patterns, and unique motifs give this range a layered, collected feel. Nothing is overly coordinated, but nothing feels out of place, either. Instead, this uniqueness brings eclectic energy to the collection's heritage-inspired style. With any one of these rugs, doormats, or pet beds, your home will feel like a historically-informed playground for vibrant, exciting design.

Ruggable and Anthropologie's latest collection was made to live with you, grow with you, and make your home feel uniquely yours. 'Each piece adds its own sense of personality to a room, helping to create a space that feels collected rather than overly designed – and ultimately, much more personal,' Maria muses.
